Who We Are
The Christ Foundation is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), RC 51554, Located in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria with a focus on all aspects of empowering people with disabilities and their families to lead healthy and productive lives. To the founders of this great mission, the vision was clear, go to them, rehabilitate them and empower them for Christ and Society.
The Christ Foundation was founded in 1993 by Late Prof. Joel Adedeji and his late wife Cecelia who both spent most of their careers in academics at the University Of Ibadan, Nigeria. Once certain of this vision, they both channeled their resources into building the Christ Foundation into an internationally recognized non-governmental, Inter-religious concern, with a strong a strong network of private and corporate partnerships locally, regionally and internationally to support the mission.
Today, the Christ foundation is continually supported in its mission by its board of trustees and its management team which has continued to work with existing partners whilst developing new opportunities for under privileged people with disabilities. The focus over the years has also been to develop new partnerships locally as well as internationally over the years on our path to fulfilling the mission which has continued to grow through the ongoing support of individuals and corporate organizations, as we have continued to create awareness, engage in advocacy and in the rehabilitation of these less privileged members of our society.
